Mill Conversion

The adaptive reuse of a Victorian textile mill into mixed-use housing and studio space. The existing structure was to be preserved, not decorated.

We stripped the mill to its cast-iron columns and brick shell, then inserted new steel and glass volumes that read as clearly contemporary insertions. The conversation between old and new is the architecture.
